NEW FOLLOWER

NEW TO FOLLOWING JESUS?

We’re thrilled you are considering Baptism as one of your next steps in following Jesus and embracing Neighborhood Friends Church as your community of faith.

What is Baptism? Baptism is a symbolic act that holds deep spiritual significance for followers of Jesus Christ. It is a public declaration of one’s faith and commitment to follow Christ. In the waters of Baptism, we identify with Jesus in his death and resurrection, symbolizing our own spiritual rebirth and new life in Him.

NEXT BAPTISM SUNDAY:

SUNDAY, MARCH 24TH

GET BAPTIZED AND SHARE YOUR STORY

If you’ve made a decision to follow Jesus and haven’t told your story through baptism yet… what are you waiting for? Neighborhood Friends would love to celebrate with you on one of our next Baptism Sundays!

SPEND TIME WITH GOD

God wants to spend time with you, and the best way you can grow in understanding who God is and what He’s doing in your life and the world is by spending time with Him. Start reading Scripture daily, even if you start small, and begin a regular rhythm of prayer, where you simply talk to God and seek to hear from Him. To help you get started, check out some of these resources.

GROW WITH OTHERS

All throughout Scripture, faith is practiced in the context of community. In fact, there is not a single example in the Bible where believers grow in solitude, but there are dozens of places where it talks about the importance of community. We believe we’re better together, and we make it easy to get into community through Neighborhood Lifegroups.

GIVE YOUR TIME, TALENT, AND TREASURE.

One of the ways we experience God moving is through the small acts of faithful obedience we give. We believe we’re called to give back in these key ways:

Time and Talent: Serve on a ministry team so that others can experience the love of Jesus.

Treasure: Give back to God by giving financially to the mission of the church so that God can multiply the gifts for greater impact.

WHATS NEXT?

After you’ve made the decision to follow Jesus, there are a couple of next steps you can take right away.
