Happy New Year!
The last few days have been a challenge for so many in our community. The fires in Superior and Louisville literally shocked us and broke our hearts. For me, I kept praying, “Lord have mercy, Christ have mercy!” I had no other words or prayers. How could this be happening so close to us, yet make us feel so helpless. One brave firefighter said, “We were stuck. There was nothing we could do. This was not a fire we could fight, we just had to hope the conditions would change so we could.” How many times have we felt this way in the last 2 years. Although what we have all faced in this pandemic doesn’t compare to what many families experienced this week, the sentiment still remains, “We feel stuck . . . we just hope the conditions change so we can fight back!”
Well, because of the hope we have in Christ, we never lose hope. 2022 is bound to have challenges, struggles, and moments when we will undoubtedly feel stuck. Join us tomorrow as we kick off 2022 with a passionate time of worship, prayer, and a message from my amazing wife, Rhonda Hinshaw, titled UNSTUCK.
