There is nothing more empowering than moments of being alone. It is been said that the best way to be yourself is to be alone with yourself to rediscover yourself. There is also nothing more terrifying than to feel alone and abandoned with nobody on your side. Jesus knew the joys of being alone and the tragedy of being alone and abandoned. Who are you when you are alone? Who do you turn to when you are alone and feel abandoned? The story of Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane, although heavy, paves the way for us to never be alone.
